STORIS MUSEUM
USCG CUTTER STORIS MUSEUM AND EDUCATION CENTER
Juneau, Alaska

MEMBERSHIP

You have a unique opportunity to become an original “Plank Owner” of the STORIS MUSEUM.  An original plank owner is a special person or organization, such as yourself, who has been provided with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in the initial phase of obtaining approval from Congress as well as the backing of the State of Alaska and the City and Borough of Juneau in establishing STORIS as a museum and education center and training vessel.  The museum will be located in the heart of Juneau for anyone with an interest in maritime history to explore and become further educated.  Names of the original plank owners will be displayed on a suitable plaque prominently displayed in the passageway on the port side of the ship leading aft from the crew’s mess deck.  Additionally, the names will be listed in a searchable database on the Museum’s website.

It is with a great deal of pleasure and honor that you are now invited to become an original Plank Owner of STORIS.   These memberships are offered for a limited period of time and we hope that you will take advantage of this special invitation.  Once the vessel has been returned to Juneau, “Plank Owner” memberships will no longer be available.  The first step to becoming a "Plank Owner" of the museum is to register with the museum.  Please register with us now so that your membership eligibility may be established prior to the anticipated deadline date.

Registration may be accomplished by accessing the “Registration Page” on our website and completing the appropriate form.  If you would prefer you can download the application and complete and mail it. Once registered, you will be on our mailing list and we will keep you informed as to how you may join us as an original plank owner and, if you are willing, how you may further support our efforts.

Thank you for your interest in this program.  We look forward to hearing from you further and having you “on board” as an original plank owner.
