On February 8, 2007 the inivitable day had finally come for this historic ship.  The crew had gathered one last time and taps was played for the Cutter STORIS in Kodiak, Alaska.  With over 64 years of service, including fifteen as the "Queen of the Fleet", STORIS was taken out of service.
